This fund strives to achieve its investment objective by typically committing its entire portfolio to the equity securities comprising the S&P MidCap 400® Index, as well as to futures contracts that reflect the index's performance. Its strategy generally entails purchasing shares in all 400 companies included in the S&P MidCap 400® Index, mirroring their respective weightings within that benchmark. The S&P MidCap 400® Index itself is a passively managed benchmark, consisting of 400 common stocks issued by medium-sized corporations.
