The fund generally commits a significant portion—at least 80% of its net assets, supplemented by any funds borrowed for investment purposes—to a widely diversified collection of convertible securities. These investments are sourced from both domestic (U.S.) and international companies. Specifically, convertible securities are financial instruments like corporate bonds, debentures, notes, and preferred stocks, along with any other securities that can either be converted into common stock or offer the chance for equity ownership.
