This fund typically allocates between 35% and 65% of its capital to stocks, with the remaining portion invested in bonds and cash equivalents to achieve its objectives. A minimum of 25% of its total assets will generally be held in senior fixed-income instruments. The fund also has the discretion to invest in money market tools and commercial debt. It may acquire both fixed-rate and floating-rate debt instruments with diverse maturities. Furthermore, holdings in speculative, high-yield bonds are restricted to 35% of the fund's overall fixed-income allocation.
