This fund's primary objective is to generate positive returns irrespective of market conditions, while diligently managing the potential for capital loss. It typically allocates a minimum of 80% of its total assets, which may include borrowed funds, to a strategy involving both purchasing (long) and short-selling common stocks and other equity instruments. These investments are focused on publicly traded companies that have significant economic ties to the United States. Furthermore, the fund targets companies whose market valuation, at the time of acquisition, falls within the spectrum of market capitalizations represented by any company in the Russell 3000® Index.
