Under typical market conditions, the DFA International Small Company Portfolio aims to allocate at least 80% of its net assets to small company securities. This allocation is primarily achieved through its investments in various underlying funds, and this guideline is considered a flexible policy rather than a strict, fundamental mandate. Furthermore, both the Portfolio and its underlying funds are authorized to invest in a range of money market funds—whether affiliated or unaffiliated, registered or unregistered—to efficiently manage cash awaiting deployment into other securities or to maintain sufficient liquidity for shareholder redemptions and other operational purposes.
