Under normal circumstances, the fund invests a minimum of 80% of its total assets—including any leveraged capital for investment—in equity securities from companies with small market values. Its portfolio generally targets U.S. exchange-listed equities, which typically include common stocks, preferred shares, real estate investment trusts (REITs), both sponsored and unsponsored American Depositary Receipts (ADRs), and exchange-traded funds (ETFs).
