The fund's primary strategy involves allocating a minimum of 80% of its total assets, including any leveraged capital, to equity securities, with a specific focus on common stocks. These investments are predominantly directed towards the common shares of large U.S. corporations, specifically those ranking among the top 1,000 publicly listed companies based on their market capitalization. Furthermore, the fund retains the flexibility to invest up to 25% of its holdings in U.S. dollar-denominated securities issued by foreign entities, provided these are traded on American stock exchanges or via the over-the-counter market. This allowance specifically covers instruments like depositary receipts, which signify ownership in underlying international shares.
