Baron Asset Fund

This fund aims for long-term growth by primarily investing in common stocks (equities) of U.S. mid-sized growth companies. The adviser, BAMCO, Inc., delineates "mid-sized" companies by specific market capitalization rules: at the point of acquisition, a company's market value must be greater than $2.5 billion or exceed the smallest market cap stock in the Russell Midcap Growth Index after its reconstitution, choosing the higher of these two figures. Additionally, its market capitalization must be less than that of the largest stock in the Russell Midcap Growth Index following reconstitution.
