WSFS Financial Strengthens Leadership with New CMO Appointment
WSFS Financial Corporation, a leading financial services institution based in Wilmington, Delaware, announces the appointment of Lynn Hobson as Chief Marketing Officer, effective December 2, 2024. With a robust background in marketing, Hobson brings 16 years of experience from BNY's Pershing, where she advanced to Director and Head of Marketing. In her new role, she will be tasked with developing and implementing WSFS's marketing and communications strategy, emphasizing the enhancement of brand awareness, digital marketing initiatives, data analytics, and overall customer experience. This strategic move aligns with WSFS's goal of solidifying its position as a premier financial institution in the Greater Philadelphia and Delaware regions.
Hobson's appointment comes at a pivotal moment for WSFS, which boasts $20.9 billion in assets and $87.2 billion in assets under management as of September 30, 2024. The company operates 114 offices across Pennsylvania, Delaware, and New Jersey, making it the oldest and largest locally headquartered bank in its area. Arthur Bacci, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, emphasizes that Hobson's expertise will play a crucial role in redefining the company's regional presence, ultimately amplifying WSFS's impact on clients and communities. The focus on digital marketing and data analytics is particularly significant, as financial institutions increasingly leverage technology to enhance customer engagement and service delivery.
In addition to Hobson's appointment, WSFS announces a transition for Justin Dunn, the former Chief Marketing Officer, who will now serve as Chief Community Impact Officer. In this newly established role, Dunn will lead the company's community strategy, focusing on volunteer initiatives, financial education, and the WSFS CARES Foundation. This shift reflects WSFS's commitment to community involvement and social responsibility, reinforcing its mission to make a positive impact in the regions it serves. As both leaders step into their new roles, WSFS Financial Corporation aims to enhance its brand presence while fostering strong community relationships.
The recent organizational changes signal WSFS Financial’s commitment to a comprehensive approach to marketing and community engagement, responding to the evolving landscape of the financial services sector. By prioritizing both brand enhancement and community impact, WSFS positions itself to better serve clients and contribute to the growth of the greater Delaware Valley.
