Singlewire's Aware Platform Launches Dismissal Manager for Safer, Efficient School Pickups

Transforming School Dismissal: Singlewire Software's New Solution for Safety and Efficiency

Singlewire Software, a prominent provider of safety and communication solutions, announces the launch of Dismissal Manager, a groundbreaking feature within its Visitor Aware platform designed to enhance school safety during the critical end-of-day student pickup period. As schools navigate the complexities of student dismissal, this innovative tool aims to streamline the process by facilitating efficient communication between carline pickups and classrooms. This initiative is especially relevant as many schools face challenges during dismissal time, which can often lead to confusion and safety concerns.

The Dismissal Manager allows school staff to assign designated dismissal types for each student—such as bus, parent pickup, walking, or after-school programs. This categorization provides a structured approach to managing student releases, ensuring that each child is safely handed over to an approved parent or guardian. Parents receive QR codes that serve as a verification method for their authorization to pick up their children, which staff can quickly scan to alert those inside the school. This method not only enhances security but also expedites the dismissal process, alleviating the chaos that often accompanies the end of the school day.

In addition to its communication capabilities, Dismissal Manager incorporates advanced License Plate Recognition technology. This feature enhances security by identifying arriving vehicles and flagging any that are banned from the school premises. Joanna Haugland, Chief Product Officer for Visitor Aware, highlights that the Dismissal Manager provides reliable information that calms what is typically a hectic time for schools. Terry Swanson, President and CEO of Singlewire Software, echoes this sentiment, emphasizing the importance of extending school safety beyond classroom walls. By integrating this new tool into the Visitor Aware suite, which already includes visitor management, safety drills, and school bus management, Singlewire Software demonstrates its commitment to fostering safety and efficiency in educational environments.

In a landscape where school safety is of paramount concern, Singlewire Software's Dismissal Manager represents a significant step forward in ensuring the secure and organized dismissal of students. The tool not only enhances the operational aspects of school dismissals but also reassures parents that their children are being released safely.
