SEI Investments Enhances Advisor Support with Stratos Acquisition

SEI Investments Company has recently completed a significant milestone in its strategic plan to enhance its offerings for financial advisors by acquiring the U.S. operations of Stratos Wealth Holdings for approximately $441 million. This transaction, which accounts for about 81% of the total deal value, leads to the establishment of SEI-Eclipse Holding Company, LLC, designed to manage Stratos while preserving its established brand and client service model. Under the guidance of Founder and CEO Jeff Concepcion, Stratos is set to operate as a distinct entity, allowing for continuity in its services while simultaneously benefiting from SEI’s advanced technology and operational capabilities.

The collaboration is aimed at bolstering Stratos' existing services and expanding its reach within the financial advisory space, which is increasingly competitive and technology-driven. SEI’s CEO, Ryan Hicke, underscores the importance of integrating advice, asset management, and administration in wealth management, asserting that this partnership will enable both firms to scale their operations more effectively. As Stratos serves a network of over 350 financial advisors across 29 states, the investment is expected to significantly enhance their operational capacity, ultimately allowing advisors to provide better service to their clients.

This acquisition is part of a broader strategy by SEI to evolve within the wealth management sector, ensuring that financial advisors are equipped with the necessary tools and resources to thrive in a rapidly changing environment. The partnership not only reflects SEI's commitment to empowering advisors but also positions them to meet the growing demand for personalized investment solutions. With plans to invest a total of $544 million for a 57.5% equity stake in SEI-Eclipse Holding Company, SEI also allows existing Stratos equity holders to maintain a 42.5% stake, which may pave the way for potential full ownership in the future.

In addition to this acquisition, SEI continues to demonstrate its leadership in the financial sector through successful implementation projects. For the nine months ending September 30, 2025, SEI's global Private Banking division achieved major milestones, completing 13 client implementations and initiating 21 new professional services engagements. Their Project Management Office (PMO) has spearheaded over 80 enterprise-scale digital transformation projects globally since 2020, ensuring that clients receive tailored solutions that meet their specific needs.

SEI's commitment to supporting regional and community banks, as evidenced by successful migrations to their SEI Wealth Platform℠ (SWP), highlights their focus on providing scalable and cost-effective solutions. As the financial landscape continues to evolve, SEI's strategic endeavors, including the acquisition of Stratos Wealth Holdings, underscore their dedication to enhancing advisor support and ensuring sustainable growth for their partners in the wealth management industry.
