RMR Group Expands Financial Flexibility with New Credit Facility

The RMR Group, a leading alternative asset management firm based in Newton, Massachusetts, announces a significant financial development with the establishment of a $100 million senior secured revolving credit facility. This facility, which matures on January 22, 2028, comes with an option for a one-year extension, allowing RMR to bolster its financial flexibility as it navigates the evolving landscape of private capital investments. The facility will incur interest at a variable rate tied to the Secured Overnight Financing Rate (SOFR), plus a margin of 2.25% per annum, and is secured by nearly all of RMR's assets.

RMR's Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Matthew Jordan expresses appreciation for the support received from banking partners, underscoring the importance of this credit facility in enhancing RMR's capacity to capitalize on new investment opportunities. Recently, RMR has diversified its portfolio by acquiring a residential platform managing over $5 billion in private capital assets, alongside launching a private capital residential portfolio that includes a $70 million multifamily investment. This strategic move reflects RMR's commitment to expanding its investment footprint while maintaining strong operational capabilities.

The establishment of this credit facility aligns with RMR's long-term strategic goals and underscores its robust management framework, which includes a dedicated team of over 1,000 real estate professionals operating across more than 35 offices nationwide. With nearly $41 billion in assets under management, RMR continues to leverage its extensive experience in commercial real estate to identify and pursue lucrative investment opportunities.

In addition to this development, Seven Hills Realty Trust, a REIT managed by RMR, announces its fourth quarter 2024 financial results will be released on February 18, 2025. The trust focuses on originating and investing in first mortgage loans secured by middle-market and transitional commercial real estate, showcasing RMR's ongoing commitment to the real estate sector.

Furthermore, Industrial Logistics Properties Trust, another entity under RMR's management, details its own financial results scheduled for release around the same time. Both trusts reflect RMR's strategic direction in the commercial real estate market, emphasizing the importance of middle-market investments and logistics properties in today’s economy.
