Hanmi Pharmaceutical Expands Its Reach with Aditams Launch in Mexico
Hanmi Pharmaceutical marks a pivotal moment in its international strategy with the launch of its urological product, Aditams, in Mexico. Officially introduced in February 2025, Aditams becomes the first urological combination drug for Obstructive Prostatic Growth (OPG) and Erectile Dysfunction (ED) to be exported to the Mexican market. This launch is the culmination of a strategic partnership with local pharmaceutical company Laboratorios Silanes, established through a seven-year export agreement signed in October 2020. The collaboration aims to deliver innovative treatment options to patients in Mexico, a testament to Hanmi's commitment to addressing unmet medical needs in the region.
Aditams leverages Hanmi’s proprietary Poly-Cap technology, combining two active ingredients—tamsulosin, which targets symptoms of OPG, and tadalafil, known for treating ED—into a single capsule. This innovative formulation not only simplifies the treatment regimen for patients but also enhances adherence to therapy, a crucial factor in managing chronic conditions. With Laboratorios Silanes’ established distribution network and local market expertise, Hanmi is well-positioned to maximize the impact of Aditams in the Latin American market, building on previous successful launches such as Lodarta and Bicartial-CTD in 2023 and 2024, respectively.
The introduction of Aditams signifies Hanmi Pharmaceutical’s strategic intent to expand its footprint in the global pharmaceutical landscape, particularly in the Latin American region. By delivering innovative healthcare solutions, Hanmi aims to improve patient outcomes in Mexico, addressing the dual challenges of OPG and ED. This launch not only reinforces the company’s portfolio but also highlights the importance of international partnerships in facilitating access to advanced medical treatments for diverse populations.
In addition to Aditams, Hanmi continues to strengthen its collaboration with Laboratorios Silanes, leveraging their previous successes to ensure a smooth market entry for this new product. With a long-standing history and a solid reputation in the Mexican market, Laboratorios Silanes serves as an ideal partner for Hanmi’s expansion efforts.
As Hanmi Pharmaceutical forges ahead with its global initiatives, the launch of Aditams is a clear indication of its dedication to enhancing patient care and addressing critical healthcare challenges in emerging markets. This development not only bolsters Hanmi's product portfolio but also sets a precedent for future collaborations aimed at delivering innovative healthcare solutions.
