Ceva and Sensory Forge Partnership to Revolutionize Voice Activation in Edge AI

At CES 2026, Ceva, Inc. announces a pivotal collaboration with Sensory Inc., aiming to integrate Sensory's renowned TrulyHandsfree™ voice activation technology into Ceva's NeuPro-Nano neural processing unit (NPU). This partnership responds to the surge in demand for AI-driven, voice-first user experiences tailored for ultra-low power devices. The NeuPro-Nano, recognized as Ceva's smallest and most efficient embedded AI NPU, is designed specifically to support always-on voice interfaces, catering to battery-constrained consumer electronics such as true wireless stereo earbuds, smartwatches, and smart home appliances.

Elia Shenberger, Senior Director of Product Marketing at Ceva, underscores that the NeuPro-Nano is redefining capabilities within embedded systems, enabling seamless, intuitive user experiences through voice activation. By leveraging Sensory’s advanced technology, system-on-chip (SoC) vendors and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) can provide on-device keyword spotting that enhances user privacy and performance, eliminating reliance on cloud-based solutions. This integration is set to propel the development of innovative voice-enabled devices, optimizing energy efficiency while ensuring robust data security for consumers.

Todd Mozer, CEO of Sensory, highlights the synergy between the two technologies, which facilitates efficient low-power voice processing across various applications, including smart home devices and wearables. With Sensory's extensive portfolio powering over 2 billion devices globally and holding more than 60 patents in AI technologies for speech recognition and natural language understanding, this collaboration is expected to accelerate advancements in the AI-driven consumer tech landscape. The integration of these technologies positions Ceva at the forefront of the growing edge AI ecosystem, catering to the increasing consumer preference for hands-free, voice-activated functionalities.

In other developments, Ceva also announces the licensing of its SensPro™ AI DSP architecture to BOS Semiconductors for the Eagle-A standalone ADAS System-on-Chip (SoC). This SoC focuses on enhancing real-time sensor processing for advanced driver assistance and autonomous driving systems. The collaboration aims to improve perception and intelligence in automotive applications, reinforcing Ceva's commitment to advancing AI technologies across diverse sectors.

Additionally, Ceva integrates its AI DSP technology into NXP Semiconductors' S32Z2 and S32E2 real-time processors, crucial for the burgeoning software-defined vehicle market. This integration positions both Ceva and NXP to lead in the automotive technology transformation, facilitating real-time decision-making and intelligent perception in next-generation vehicles.
